What exactly is air pollution?
Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particles or any other harmful materials that enter the Earth's atmosphere. No matter what type of pollution enters the Earth's atmosphere there are very extreme consequences that can, and will, affect all life on earth. The Earth's atmosphere is a natural complex gaseous system that is intended to support all life on our planet. With all these pollutants entering the air this "layer" of our atmosphere is breaking down and could cause tremendous problems in the next couple hundred of years if efforts are not put forth by everyone on this beautiful planet we call home.
In 1955 the Air Pollution Control Act was the first U.S. Clean Air Act that was put forth by Congress is order to address the increasing environmental problem of air pollution. When it all comes down to it this act was simply passed in order for states to come to the realization that air pollution is happening, whether we agree or disagree, and science proves the depletion of our Earth's atmosphere. Congress made it a point to make sure that research and technical assistance would be offered to all states in order to help them regulate and prevent air pollution. It was very clear, and still is crystal clear, that air pollution poses a danger to public health and welfare; not just of humans but of all living creatures that make up our complex planet. The mission behind this act was to bring it to the attention of the people of the world - not just in the United States. If it was never brought to the attention of the people during this time I believe it is safe to say that our environment would have collapsed years ago.
Many efforts have been brought forward in order to address and regulate air pollution over the years - but it doesn't stop here.
Although air pollution is a huge problem that is beginning to be addressed, indoor air pollution is listed today as one of the worst toxic pollution problems. Why? It is hard to pinpoint exactly why this is a huge problem but my guess is that with the increase of home air conditioning and heating devices owners are not educated or aware of the fact that it is crucial to have their HVAC system maintained and cleaned annually by a professional AC repair company. Maintenance of your HVAC system may be a little expensive but it is worth the investment when it comes to the health and well-being of your family and others who enter your residential and/or commercial space.
If you live down South your air conditioning system is on more than half of the year. Since it is running 24/7 it is inevitable for your unit to become full of particles that have been lifted from both your home and the outside air. Your HVAC unit has many filtering devices that aid in making sure no harmful particles enter your home and your lungs. The only thing that HVAC owners fail to realize is the fact that after a few months those filters could be extremely clogged. Once those filters are clogged, and not changed out, the air that passes through them could allow the harmful particles to latch onto the air and be carried away into your home.
On the other hand the states that deal with high humidity levels are more sustainable to experience moisture within their residential and/or commercial duct system. There are many reasons as to how and why this can occur. In doing research I have come to the conclusion that the main reason why your duct system may be full of moisture is because of insufficient insulation or there could be cracks and leaks in the duct system itself forcing moisture to develop in the naturally cool area, eventually allowing mold/mildew spores to form and take over.
All of this can happen without your knowledge of the situation. Which is exactly why it is crucial to make sure you have a professional AC repair company come to your home at least once a year to make sure that your duct system is clean. If you do not keep up with annual maintenance not only could your home fall victim to air pollution but your whole unit could malfunction causing you to have to spend thousands of dollars in AC repair.
There are ways that you, as a homeowner, can prevent air pollution from affecting you and your family. Alongside preventative maintenance and duct cleanings you as a homeowner have options when it comes to picking out Air Quality Control System(s).
What are Air Quality Control Systems?
There are all types of Air Quality Control Systems that can be installed within your air conditioning and/or heating system. The job of an Air Quality Control System is to make sure all harmful contaminants, viruses, mold, mildew, allergens, etc. are eliminated instantaneously while also working 24/7 to make sure that your home maintains quality and clean air for years to follow. Plain and simple: Air Quality Control Systems will put your mind at ease knowing that your home could never fall victim to air pollution.
What is the BEST Air Quality Control System for your HVAC unit?
What is the MicroPure?
The MicroPure is a total home active air purifier that mixes metallic technology with UV Light Energy in order to naturally produce 'scrubbers' that destroy indoor pollutants in both the air within the home as well as on all surfaces in the home.
Since the MicroPure is available in multiple power options depending on how large your home and HVAC unit is will allow a professional to make a responsible decision on how much power you need, from the MicroPure, in order for indoor air quality to be maintained at a quality level.
The MicroPure uses an air purification process that works alongside UV Lights. The UV Lights act as an energy/power source in order to fuel and power the photocatalytic receptors. These receptors are responsible for making the 'scrubbers' that roam your home and kill all harmful contaminants. Don't worry these 'scrubber's can't be seen by the naked eye but they are making sure that all bacteria, mold, viruses, mildew, smoke, odors and even VOC's (volatile organic compounds i.e. formaldehyde) are eliminated automatically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Now in places where there are high humidity issues the MicroPure will work for efficiently. When it all comes down to the science (I am going to try and explain it to my best ability) humidity allows the MicroPure to convert water vapor to hydrogen peroxide. This reaction alone is what creates the 'scrubbers'. With that being said, if there is more humidity in the air more hydrogen peroxide, as well as other oxidizers, are created in order for contaminants to be destroyed.
The MicroPure is still very effective in places where there is low humidity but it all boils down to the simple fact that with more moisture comes more contaminants - more room for growth. The MicroPure will work best at both high and low humidity levels but it is more effective in places that have high humidity levels - like the sunshine state.
Air pollution should not be something that you, as a homeowner and HVAC owner, should forget about or push off to the side. All systems, whether it is an HVAC unit or a computer, need annual maintenance in order for desired results to be delivered to you in a timely manner. Without having annual maintenance ran on your air conditioning system your system could malfunction or breakdown. This alone can result in you having to lay out a great stack of cash for AC repair - an expensive that could have been avoided if you called an AC repair professional to clean/tune-up your system.
As long as you are being proactive and taking the steps towards making sure your HVAC unit is healthy and clean your home will soak up all the benefits allowing you and your family to breathe easy and freely without any worries entering your minds, better yet your home.
1. It is a NASA developed technology that is used in International Space ProgramsWherever air goes, within your home, the MicoPure will destroy all contaminants
2. The MicroPure is designed to fit any HVAC system
3. The system is built with a unique air purification process system that allows air that does not pass through the HVAC unit to be cleaned
4. The MicroPure is light weight (Anywhere from 2.6-3lbs)
5. UV Light bulbs last around 2 years; they can be replaced by a professional AC repair company or you can do it yourself
6. The MicroPure is NOT an ozone generator; although it may have UV lighting the energy used to power the MicroPure will not harm our environment
7. The system works 24/7 automatically - you do not have to turn the system on and off during the day
8. There are TWO spots where the MicroPure can be installed:
A) On the supply side after the A-coil. This is the most desirable and preferable spot to place the MicroPure because this is the spot where it will be exposed to the highest humidity level possible
B) On the return side before the fan coil. Not the best place to put the system because the 'scrubbers' can be lost when passing through the air handler and coils
